About DCC

The Dupont Circle Club first opened its doors over a decade ago in what's affectionately known as "flat rat alley," the alleyway behind the current club. The Club came into existence due to the hard work of a group of peers in recovery who saw the need for a reliable space for meetings in downtown Washington. Some of those founding members still attend meetings regularly at Dupont.

Today, dozens of meetings a week bring hundreds of people to our rooms. They - we - are what makes recovery work, and the Dupont Circle Club exists to support us and our efforts to help each other become more happy, joyous, and free.

Information about membership to the Club is available under "Donations."

The Club regularly sponsors special events such as picnics and holiday parties as an opportunity to socialize in an atmosphere of recovery. Upcoming events will be announced in meetings and on this web site. Also, as of the summer of 2006, we have our own softball team in the intramural recovery league.
